Role Description

KL&A is looking to expand our BIM department, which collaborates and works side-by-side with our engineers, construction managers, and detailers. We are seeking a detail-oriented candidate to support our project teams by assisting with creating accurate and well-organized construction documents. This position provides opportunities to work on a variety of projects such as healthcare, commercial offices, museums and more. Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Project startup and creating 3D models for a wide variety of building types utilizing primarily Autodesk Revit
• Assist engineers with creating structural engineering construction documents
• Annotate plan drawings, draw details and adjust models based on updates from engineers
• Apply company CAD standards, practices and procedures in creating and modifying drawings
• Collaborate with engineers and BIM staff in a team environment
• Assist with maintaining Revit libraries as well as build upon the current family library

Required Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Computer Aided Drafting Certificate, or equivalent
• Experience using Autodesk Revit 2020+
• Knowledge of architectural and engineering drawings is a must
• Understanding of construction processes, and familiar with various building types, such as commercial, multi-family residential, and custom homes
• Strong visualization skills, attention to detail, and quality focused
• Ability to interpret written, verbal and visual direction
• Ability to work and communicate effectively in collaborative team settings

Bonus Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience with Revit drafting and modeling
• Experience in the building industry, specifically structural engineering
• Computer skills using Bluebeam
• Experience with Autodesk Forma or Dynamo

Annual Salary: $27-34/hour

Bonuses are awarded at discretion, not guaranteed.
